Ford Australia is celebrating a milestone which no other Australian vehicle manufacturer has achieved - 50 years of the Ford Falcon – the longest running vehicle nameplate in Australian motoring history.

The special birthday marks half a century since the first XK Falcon rolled off Ford Australia's production line on 28 June 1960.

Since then, Ford Australia has produced 27 different models of the Falcon, resulting in almost 3.5 million Falcons on the road clocking up approximately 450 billion kilometres.

To celebrate the Ford Falcon’s birthday, Marin Burela, Ford Australia President & CEO and key Ford motoring sensations, including Mark Winterbottom and Allan Moffat will showcase the evolution of the Ford Falcon by rolling six of the iconic models off the production line.
